Studio Exhibition for (workshop) students

Fellow enamellers and students who took part in the enamel workshops organized at my studio in Den Haag held a very special exhibition of enamelled artifacts.  The theme of the exhibition was SPACE and it was apparent  that this theme had given the participants ample inspiration.
The exhibition was only open this one weekend, from 12 noon until 5 pm,  but all the same 93 interested viewers found their way to the studio, notwithstanding the fact that this weekend the neighbourhood of the studio was the venue of demonstrations  and road blocks.
Seven artifacts were sold (6 pieces of jewellery  and one wall panel. )
Participants were all asked to vote for the work on show that had made the strongest impression on them and this person was given the 'Enameller Elect' Prize.
This year the prize went to Monique van Wensveen who had made a fascinating set of enamelled cubes, with sgraffito images on all sides. The plastic design was also on view, and visitors were invited to ‘play’ with this .
Anne-Marie Huf, nowadays teacher of enamelling at the VAK in Delft, was a good runner-up with a view box and two 3-D objects, a Mermaid and a ring, both executed in plique-á-jour.

Would you, too, like to participate in a workshop?
